But it's not "artisanal sandwiches," it's "artisan sandwiches." Maybe now that the backlash is starting, they have to find a different use for all those artisans.
But Dr, it's BRIE cheese! And "chipotle mayo" That's why it's worth so much/sarcasm. Really, I'm all for natural/organic/free range/etc. as the next healthy person. But let's hope that Micky D's or someone like them comes out with an "artisan" item(s) soon, and kill this trend asap!
That kind appeals to women and just doesn't fly in Texas. Barbecue here is made by men. Women can grill, but men barbecue, and happily drive their grills halfway across the state on specially built trailers for a competition, dripping sparks along I-10 and causing grassfires from San Anton to Ammansville. Also not for the sane, but it tastes GOOD!
At least they didn't call them "Panini Sandwiches."
ReplyDeleteWhere you at? the Gold Class Cinema chain? Artisan sandwiches for $13 bucks at the movies doesnt happen at just any movie theatre in America!
ReplyDeleteWhere's the dried up hot dog and cheese whiz nachos for the same price!?
Good luck explaining that menu to your kids when they go to college and eat dining hall food LOL!

ReplyDeleteNowadays, you can even find artisan pants and artisan printers!
ReplyDeleteArtisan. Artisan. Artisan.
But think of the artisanal skill that went into making that fast food sandwich.
ReplyDeleteHaven't you heard?! Everyone's an artisan these days!
ReplyDeletePearl
Not to mention the artisan who drove the semi delivering this taste treat.
ReplyDeleteResistance is futile.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that cannibalism, an artisan sandwich? I hate bad English more (just a little more) than stupid catch words.
ReplyDeleteThat is the exact reason I shop at the starving artisan sales...
ReplyDeleteAnti-sane sandwiches?
