Dear Chester County Health Department,

I must say, your recent press release gave my inner adolescent some serious giggles.

In doing further research I learned that the wild beaver attacked a man who was out fishing. I can only assume he was quite surprised to be assaulted in such fashion. He is reportedly doing fine at this time.

  1. Hope he at least got a hat out of the deal. Not going the other way with this.

  2. I live in ChesCo.

There is a wide range of beavers that would require a patient to undergo prophylaxis.

  8. off topic, but how does one wrangle and invitation to read white coat rants's and 10 out of 10's blogs? they seem to be on all of the blogs that I read, but they're private. Do you happen to have an hall pass?

  10. Isn't rabies hydrophobia?
That's why I always take a couple bottles of water when I go to see the beaver.

  11. @lovinmyjob: that would definitely make it easier to throw the beaver a bone...

  12. I grew up just south of there and there was a place called Beaver Valley nearby. I never personally saw any beavers there, but it was known as a place to go parking. God, my teen years were dull.

  13. Hell, there was Beaver College until they changed it to Arcadia University due to the "net nanny" programs filtering it out...

signed, grew up in the same town as Beaver College, thinking nothing of it...

Also, on my way back to my current home state from any visit to PA, I pass a sign for "Randy Beaver, Handyman". Yep. Real name.
