Blood pressure and other things

Mrs. Methodical: "My blood pressures have been good, too."

Dr. Grumpy: "I'm glad. What have they been running?"

Mrs. Methodical: "I have a list in my purse. Would you like to see it?"

Dr. Grumpy: "Certainly."

She rummaged in her purse for a minute, then handed me this:

  1. Her BP looks just peachy to me!

  2. The picture I have in my mind is the automatic upper arm squeezer just outside the pharmacy prescription intake counter in the grocery store, so I wonder if she just fell into the chair with HR 49, 51, etc. Another inquisitive nosy question; wondering what she's using determining 100% oxygenation, or is it an assumption?

  3. You can buy an inexpensive pulse oximeter and automatic BP cuff on Amazon for less than $100. That would give you these numbers. Tho I don't know that the 02 saturation level is always 100% - that seems a bit like 'optimistic recording."

    1. I think scram is short for scrambled eggs/ Eggbeaters? Blue pan...I dunno? The blue cap pan spray or a cheap pan the grocery store sells are my best guesses.

    2. Yeah I thought grocery list too, but I think others were right, it's a food diary.

    3. Scrambled eggs and blueberry pancakes maybe? Everything else seems to be breakfast foods.

  5. My guess is she's calorie-counting. This is what she had for breakfast at the diner while waiting for her prescriptions to be filled (and she'll look up calorie content when she gets home); and also has checked her 'numbers' while waiting for No. 3 breakfast to be delivered: scrambled eggs, blueberry pancakes, peaches (fresh?), bacon, orange juice, coffee and wheat toast, either that, or she's trying to come up with a breakfast menu to fix for when Aunt Maudie visits the next morning, and definitely Auntie Maude is going to want to know her BP, HR, and the rest.

  8. But how many peaches? How much OJ? How much coffee? How much scram? What shade of blue was the pan?

  9. HR of 49-61? BP that low? Can she pick that breakfast up off the floor?
Can we guess at diagnoses? EDS with POTS?
    (I'm cheating, we've got a houseful of them.) :D
