Time

Got this inquiry in a research email:

Not sure what sort of range they're really looking for, but curious where they came up with the higher end. If you're seeing 100,000 patients with ANYTHING in a 31 day month, it means you're spending 27 seconds with each of them. Provided, of course, that you don't stop to eat, sleep, or hit the bathroom.

"Hello, I'm your doctor. Have a nice day."

  2. Well, they're all asleep so each one doesn't take very long.

  3. I can't imagine how your medical billers could keep up with the pace you set at that rate!

  5. What if the answer is zero? According to the instructions, that's not allowed.

  6. I'm guessing they set the top end arbitrarily high to make sure they'd never need to raise it.

Though I agree with Anonymous at 6:03, the lack of 0 as an option is seems more of an issue.

  7. Does the 27 seconds include the time to wake up the number of narcolepsy patients who are asleep when you get to them?

  8. What if it's more than 100,000?

  9. What if the number isn't an integer?

  10. What if it's an imaginary number?

  11. What if it's negative?

  12. LOL They weren't thinking when they put that together.

  13. Maybe 'actively' is the operative word? Fluffing pillows and rearranging bed covers may be what they're looking for? Or, is it an ad for dust mites and hypoallergenic bedding? Seems to me when I look up dust-free bedding on the internets, the mammala under consideration are horses and alpacas.
