Let's hope she was adopted

Dr. Grumpy: "Have you had any surgeries?"

Mrs. Olde: "I had a hysterectomy, but I don't remember when. Susan, do you remember?"

Mrs. Olde's daughter: "I'm not sure, Mom. Was it before or after I was born?"

  1. Hey it's possible. My mom had a hysterectomy before I was born. Obviously I'm adopted. Lol....

  2. My mom had a hysterectomy after I was born *and* I'm adopted. And I'm entertaining myself with the thought that this would completely blow some people's minds. :-)

  4. You would think someone who's had a hysterectomy would never forget when they had it (at least the year), because no more periods (duh!).

  5. Well, babies have occasionally implanted and grown elsewhere than in the uterus, you know. There was a case in New Zealand a few decades back of a woman who had a hysterectomy, and 9 months later was delivered (by C section) of a live baby that had implanted on her somatic peritoneum. It was thought that the fertilized egg must have escaped from a Fallopian tube into the abdominal cavity during the hysterectomy.
