My mom had a hysterectomy after I was born *and* I'm adopted. And I'm entertaining myself with the thought that this would completely blow some people's minds. :-)
Well, babies have occasionally implanted and grown elsewhere than in the uterus, you know. There was a case in New Zealand a few decades back of a woman who had a hysterectomy, and 9 months later was delivered (by C section) of a live baby that had implanted on her somatic peritoneum. It was thought that the fertilized egg must have escaped from a Fallopian tube into the abdominal cavity during the hysterectomy.
Hey it's possible. My mom had a hysterectomy before I was born. Obviously I'm adopted. Lol....

ReplyDeleteYou would think someone who's had a hysterectomy would never forget when they had it (at least the year), because no more periods (duh!).
