What a deal

Webhill sent in this non-artisanal restaurant sign that she passed on the street recently.

Personally, I don't want to pay $21.99 to get crabs. Even if the lady in the picture is the one giving them to me. That special shampoo is expensive.

But I do like the camera angle, which appears to have been used so you can personally verify whether or not she does, indeed, have crabs.

  1. Heh. 8 East is our hospital's locked mental health unit. I wouldn't want to go THERE to get crabs either.

  2. Never east seafood more than 50 miles from the ocean, even if it is all you can eat.

  3. 8 East is our Gyn unit. That must be one serious case of crabs!

I thought of you, Dr. Grumpy, last night when I saw the Olive Garden commercial touting their Artisanal ravioli.

  4. One day a friend and I saw a sign on a Hooters, "WE HAVE CRABS." We're still laughing about it.

Then there's the street outside of Pittsburgh named "Electric Avenue". It's a dead-end, and for a long time had a sign saying, "NO OUTLET."

Another time the same friend & I were in a bar that had a sign that said

    5 GUYS NAMED MOE
    MEET THE PENGUINS

We immediately thought of the old movies, like "Abbot & Costello Meet the Mummy", but it turned out to be the name of a band, as well as members of the local hockey team.

  5. The "all you can eat" deal should be okay as long as you don't have facial hair.

  7. Awesome. You have to wonder why someone doesn't notice these things BEFORE they have the signs made up. lol

  8. LOL! there used to be a restaurant on the Oregon Coast called "The Galley-Ho." The waitresses all wore t-shirts that had printed on the back "I'm a Ho." This was a family restaurant... LOL

  10. Reminds me of a PR exec who didn't proof read her work closely enough, and sent out an ad for a 'Pubic' auction, instead of a public auction. Interesting imagery there. (She was fired for that gaff, afaik)

  14. Sadly, I don't think this was a mistake. I think they actually think they're being funny. Sigh.

  15. There's a famous crab shack in the Outer Banks of North Carolina called "Dirty Dicks." You can buy shirts there that say "I got my crabs at Dirty Dicks." Hilarious.

  17. Does the woman in the blue almost-dress have crabs? Is that why she looks like she is wriggling in her seat?
