Seems there's now a food called Stupid, and boy, is it tasty.
My favorite such item was a question on, I think, Yahoo answers (the worst of a bad bunch). It went like this: Q: "Do dogs have opposable thumbs?" A: "No."
You should check out the Mom Answers section of Baby Center some time. I'm continually amazed by how many women think that if they tell us when we're due, we can tell them who their baby daddy is.
It brings to mind the word "retard" which I have given The Hangover pronunciation of re-TARD but you do have do give the guy a lot of points for trying REALLY hard to explain. After all, he IS only cereal and he is friends with a pickle.
Wow I'm surprised it made it to the Math section... I mean, it is an expression, and a pretty regular one at that, ergo, a "regular expression" and *should* have been categorized under "Programming" or "Computing Languages". Pffffttttt these people are such amateurs! That kid is gonna be a helluva script monkey some day...
[ok fwiw reading code I barely understand makes more sense to me than that kid's answer...]

Here is the answer translated via Babelfish to an understandable English via German, French, Italian and Dutch. I am sure everyone can understand it now. Cheers
I just finished this fabulous course on physics and its use in studying other things (history, art, etc). Some of the detective work they can do with the diets of bodies they find now is absolutely fascinating. You really are what you eat, in a molecular kind of way.
I'm with Watercolor... definitely Fruit Loops as the cereal type. ::shudder:: Sometimes I dispare of the younger generations as do all generations before me. I used to read my grandmother's and mother's books and looking at what those gave as standards of education, knowing what I had to study, and then looking at what my own children study... ::sigh::
It's starting to get better. And I am most fortunate that I moved into a different county when their father moved back into the house where they had lived all their lives. My current husband and I (and perforce they) have been here for five years now (my son is a freshman, my daughter a senior) and the difference is stunning. Both of my children are taking Latin by choice. It's not even offered outside of a Magnet school in their old county.
This county requires every child on an academic track to choice a primary interest area and take 'x' number of classes (they are spelled out just like college) which always include language. My children's school offers Latin, Spanish, French, and German. They teach all but one of the AP course that are available to take. Oh yeah, glad I left! One more thing... this is not the Magnet school and is only the second ranked county in the state of Tennessee.
reack - how my kids wreck when they react to being told to do something they really really (no, really!) don't want to do.
LOL! That murders math, spelling, grammer, logic and my confidence in anwers.com all at the same time.

I'm glad Wikipedia doesn't have BS answers like this.
ReplyDeleteYou need to google "How is babby formed?" It's a yahoo question
ReplyDeleteYeah, Yahoo! Answers is absolutely notorious for its wealth of terrible quality questions and equally horrifying answers.

i would have to say it made it into the math section because the question contains the words "expression" and "mean." not sure though, just a guess
ReplyDeleteIt could be in a sense considered a transitive property, which is a math term.
ReplyDeleteTypical teenaged "know it all" answer. I would have replied; "Master/Miss Cereal, I do believe you're lying. You imbibe stupid, & lots of it."
