"Check this out" indeed
I'd like to thank my reader Boris for submitting this product placement issue. I suppose it's a marketing campaign of the "Warning: choose one, or get the other" sort.
HAHAHA!! I think that is a great idea. They need to do this across the U.S! Love your posts! The last couple of them have made me almost lose my water!
Since I think they should be handing out condoms on street corners (especially to any teenagers who happen to be walking by), I'm totally in favor. Diapers, though, wouldn't be my preferred placement.
I vote soda aisle, junk food aisle, and cosmetics. Aim for the teens.
At the grocery store in my town there's the lingerie, right after that is the maternity clothes, and then the baby clothes. 1, 2, 3... I've always laughed at it.
Oh, and I don't think it's a placement issue, I bet it sells great. Buy the diapers, and then make sure that another one is not coming.

That's hilarious! How true...
ReplyDeleteHaha! Maybe it falls under the category of 'One is enough - prevent the second.'
ReplyDelete;)
Don't worry. Another major regional store puts the lingerie right next to the baby clothes, as a subtle reminder. :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! Maybe though, since you can't take hormonal birth control AND breast feed, it's just pragmatic.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha, it even has a sign that says, "check this out," at the top. Just in case your attention didn't wander there in the first place....
ReplyDeleteAnd then I notice that it's actually the title of your post... G'Mornin' Y'all ;)

Hey, that whole "you can't get pregnant while you are breast feeding" is a myth! I learned the hard way. lol@me!
ReplyDeleteAs any sleep-deprived new parent knows, having one will make you want to cover that thing forever.
ReplyDeleteWas this taken at the Container Store?
ReplyDeleteStore looks like Rite Aid (pharmacy chain store).
ReplyDeleteI also like how you can find ping-pong balls in the beer aisle.
ReplyDeleteI always liked how birth control was next to the pregnancy tests myself.

I always figured that if women were breast-feeding they simply weren't interested in sex. Thus the explanation of 'birth control.'
ReplyDeletelooks like it could be at a cvs by the ad below it, appears to be talking about caremark which is owned by cvs.
