Happy Halloween!

(When I was 7, I screamed and cried so loudly in the elevator part that they stopped the ride to let me out. And my parents still remind me. Like I could forget.)

When the crypt doors creak,
And the tombstones quake.
Spooks come out for a swinging wake.
Happy haunts materialize
And begin to vocalize.
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize.

Now don't close your eyes,
And don't try to hide.
Or a silly spook may sit by your side.
Shrouded in a daft disguise,
They pretend to terrorize.
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize.

As the moon climbs high over dead oak trees,
Spooks arrive for the midnight spree.
Creepy creeps with eerie eyes,
Start to shriek and harmonize.
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize

When you hear the knell of a requiem bell,
Weird glows gleam where spirits dwell.
Restless bones etherealize,
Rise as spooks of every size.
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize.

If you would like to join our jamboree,
There's a simple rule that's compulsory.
Mortals pay a token fee.
Rest in peace, the hauntings free.
So hurry back, we would like your company.

Hurry back...

Hurry back...

Be sure to bring your death certificate...

  2. Wow, I always thought it was "great green ghosts". Learn something new every day.

    Love that song, though.

  4. The second best make out ride at Disneyland. Monsanto being the first. Sorry your experience wasn't more like mine. ;)

  6. Awesome. This ride scared me as a kid too. Especially the candelabra at the end of the long hall. Now it's just classic. I have the Grim Grinning Ghost song as my Halloween ring tone.

  7. Pink Martini- The Monsanto ride closed in 1985. The space it used to be is now Star Tours.

  9. I love being scared on rides! But, I didn't think they stopped the rides for anything short of a fire!
Happy Halloween (and what nice parents you have!)

  10. I had such hysterics standing in line (age 8, during a thunderstorm) that the girl at the front offered to let me stay with her. My mother insisted I was going on it b/c she wanted to go on it, and then got mad that I was so upset I threw up on her shoes in the cart.

Disney was not my most favorite vacation...
