  2. I couple of times of the years, I had to care for severe alcoholics as inpatients. The Valium protocol did not work and the patients refused to quit drinking. So, I actually had to write in the orders to serve 1 beer with each meal three times daily. The family brought in beer to store in the fridge. The younger nursing staff thought they were being pranked! lol
