First, this picture pretty much speaks for itself:
"You can park by the trash can, Phil, unless there's a shopping cart in the way." |
Here's a restaurant's hours from their department of redundancy department:
Then there's this ad for a "spinal reset." Apparently the key to spinal health is growing a series of spikes on your back so you vaguely resemble a stegosaurus. Or Godzilla. Or look like you've been repeatedly impaled by a unicorn. Or narwhal. Or were attacked by a badly malfunctioning ice-cream-cone-baking machine.
Then there's this sign, for those who've been afflicted by a bootie cootie (thank you, ER's Mom, for that awesome phrase):
And finally... I don't understand this at all:
It's kind of a difficult concept to understand now, but, years ago, there was a time when people didn't look up dates on their computers and phones. If you wanted to look up a date, you had to consult this thing called a "calendar," which was like a calendar program only it was printed on paper.
ReplyDeleteIt's Hokusai's follow-up to "Dream of the Fisherman's Wife."
ReplyDeleteDo they put a new spike on your back every day for 14 days?
ReplyDeleteIt is a little crowded carpooling to work in a shopping cart, but at least they get to use the HOV lane.
ReplyDelete"I said I wasn't into doggie style, and I meant it."
ReplyDelete"It gets so wild and crazy here on the weekends that we don't even put a space between the dash and the numeral 8!"
ReplyDeleteI don't understand the goat calendar either, but we still don't have a kitchen calendar and I'm going to see if I can hunt this one down!! What the world needs now is a little more random humor!
ReplyDelete"..transform the health of your entire body and spine." Because there's your entire body, and then there's your spine.
ReplyDeleteGoats in trees, remember that next time you decide to lay in the shade.
ReplyDeleteTree Goats are a thing: https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/the-tree-goats-of-morocco. And apparently that calender is so popular when I just googled "goats in trees" it was the second listing after the Atlas Obscura one. OR Doc Grumpy has quite the following and all his readers looking it up pushed it to the top.
ReplyDeleteAlso look up "Goats on the Roof". If you like Goats.
ReplyDeleteI can confirm that Goats in Trees is even more fabulously hilarious in person, as we currently have it in our office. Whenever we're having an awful moment, we just look up at the gloriousness, giggle a bit and then go back to work.
