  2. The other sort of teabag has a flavor that's almost, but not quite, exactly unlike tea.

"The flavor of tea" written in Spanish is what put this in my head I swear, because what else is tea supposed to taste like?

  4. Wouldn't you know this company was probably the inventor of the 'teabag'? Seriously. I looked it up in Wikipedia. The particular brand has been around since the late 1800's and is quite popular in its country of origin, along with such tasty dishes as 'Toad in a Hole, 'Bubbles and Leeks', and 'Spotted Dick'. The colloquial expression arose much earlier, so is of no serious consequence there.

On the other side of the globe, my spouse refers to the implied eyebrows raising wink, wink with his explanation of the derivation of the improper but popular term there for 'Mister H' and yes, that had nothing to do at all with the despotic Austrian dictator and mass murderer.

    1. Bubble and squeak you mean. Which can be made with leeks, when I lived there they said leek bubble and squeak to differentiate it from the standard cabbage.
