Rimshot

Mrs. Osteo: "I take a daily calcium supplement."

Dr. Grumpy: "Do you take vitamin D, too?"

Mrs. Osteo: "No, it's vitamin D3."

Say it aloud if it doesn't make sense.

  1. That sounds more like a genuinely innocent reply rather than a smart aleck remark, since vitamin D2 is the prescription strength type.

  2. Oh, I agree it wasn't intentional, but as soon as she said it, we both began giggling. Just a "Who's on first?" moment.

  3. I take Vitamin DI. It makes me as tough as a Drill Instructor. Also, it's artisanal.

  5. I take prescription vitamin D2 PO & a prescription strength compounded cream which is D3! My vitamin D is really low (9.8 w/ normal being 30-100) so I'm on an obnoxious weekly dose. Hopefully, I'll start absorbing it one route or another.

  9. She could have been happy to say she took the low dose form, Vitamin D-lite.
