Dr. Grumpy: "Any other questions?"
Mr. Rem: "Do you think I'm so tired because of all the Oxycontin I'm on?"
Dr. Grumpy: "That could do it... Um, I don't have you listed as taking Oxycontin."
Mr. Rem: "That's because I didn't tell you. I'm on 80mg three times a day."
Dr. Grumpy: "Um, yes, that could make you tired. Why didn't you tell me that?"
Mr. Rem: "I didn't think it was relevant."
Ohmygoodness, taking 240mg of occupation daily and he doesn't think it's relevant. Wow,that certainly will make sllepy
ReplyDeleteWait ---- What ----
ReplyDeleteDoesn't everybody take Oxycontin?
well, now I'd wonder what else he didn't think it was relevant to tell me!
ReplyDeleteI was too sleepy and tired to remember doc...
ReplyDeleteThe stigma of oxy, hey some really do take it because they need too, so don't be so judgmental.
ReplyDeleteAte it like candy trying to fight my back pain and keep my job. Failed. Transferred to Methadone with 10mg Hydrocodone for breakthrough pain. Now off the Methadone and RARELY take 5mg Hydrocodone RPN. Learned to live with it and what I could and couldn't do. Of course getting there I had a forced medical retirement, lost almost everything including our house and SUV before I won the fight for Social Security after almost 3 years of living with friends and family. Eventually won my lawsuit against my Long Term Disability Insurance provider as well.
ReplyDeleteTook me two and a half years and I have a clue about how it all works (not to say you don't). It's just a long process. I had to go in front of a fed judge who was baffled as to why my case was punted to him. Approved on the spot and back pay was completed in 4 weeks. It was painful.
Delete"In the gym, I can usually pump out two sets of 15 reps at 80mg no problem."
ReplyDeleteSo, whatya taking the OxyContin for? Is there an underlying physiological problem that 'we' need to consider, that might also be affecting the energy level? If you're taking it just to be taking something three times a day, then there might some other issues involved, like, you might be so constipated and sluggish you don't feel like doing anything, or it might be interfering with a restful night of sleep, or scrounging around for a supply might be wearing you out. By the way, what else is going on in your life that may or may not be relevant?
ReplyDeleteWell the oxy helps me cut down on my drinking!
ReplyDeleteYou are a nerve doctor. What do nerves have to do with pain? Didn't you go to medical school - you ought to know this stuff.
ReplyDeletestay safe.
