Everyone wants to be special these days and for the folks that have no actual special talent, or anything about them that's interesting, the only way to garner attention is to have a disease. Look at all the attention people draw to themselves now. Folks used to hide in the shadows when illness struck-not the best way to handle things I admit... but now we have swung the pendulum the completely opposite way. Now there are bumper stickers for every obscure disease and people want to draw attention to themselves because of them in the name of "awareness". I'm still not sure exactly what "awareness" accomplishes but hey, it's "something".

IF she wants to have a debilitating neurological disorder, there's already something wrong with her.
ReplyDeleteHow can I tell you this : You do!
