Today is a holiday here in the states (our equivalent of May Day). I understand many countries have parades on May Day. In America we traditionally watch sporting events on television and grill/eat large amounts of beef.
Anyway, since I'm busy fixing the barbecue so Mrs. Grumpy can cook a yak, I'm just putting up pictures my readers have sent.

First, a reader in Arizona found this headline in her local online paper. Apparently the Mesa School District is trying to find new teachers. And with good reason:
Next, we have this delicious looking snack for neurologists and zombies:
To prove that the "City of Brotherly Love" is still alive and well, a reader from Philadelphia sent in a note he found on his windshield:
And, finally, for those new parents out there trying to save money, Amazon is selling used diapers:
The third picture from the top can probably get in at passiveaggressivenotes.com
ReplyDeleteAt least they left a note instead of doing the usual thing and just smashing the windows.
ReplyDeleteHey! I left a note just like that the other day!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I haven't received one of those notes yet. If I see a good parking spot that is partially parked in (because the inconsiderate driver didn't park in the lines), I'll still park there, but within the lines.
ReplyDeleteHahah funny I also live in philly and left a similar but even more passive aggressive of a note the other day. Cracks me up.
ReplyDeleteWhat seasonings does one use when cooking a yak?
ReplyDelete;-)
I don't get what's funny about the Mesa one.
ReplyDeleteI saw an identical note on a car in the DC area...except the note was accompanied by a giant scratch from the note-writer's key. The worst thing was that the scratched car was actually parked in the center of the marked parking space.
ReplyDeleteHey, haven't you seen those commercials where they pour a whole measuring cup full of blue liquid onto a diaper and it soaks it all up? I'll bet those used diapers have plenty of spare capacity.

ReplyDelete'Scambling', not 'scRambling'. A typo :-)
Anon 9:32 - "scambling" isn't a word.
ReplyDeleteJulie, ambling with intent to perpetrate a scam?
ReplyDeleteIs the delicious looking neurological snack related to the yak by any chance?
ReplyDeleteOh sorry, forgot that yaks don't have brains....or do they?

yep, sums up my thoughts nicely
