An Ontario truck driver doing his own dental work while at the wheel has been charged by provincial police.
Officers pulled over a tractor-trailer on Highway 402 near Sarnia, Ont., on June 30 after another driver reported a truck travelling erratically.
When they stopped the driver, they found he was trying to extract his own tooth and steer the truck at the same time.
Police said the driver had tied a string around the tooth and then attached the string to the roof of the cab, waiting for what police said was "one good bump" to pull the tooth out.

OWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMethinks he needed a dentist.
ReplyDeleteCan he do his own spinal tap?
ReplyDelete"Pigpen, this here's Rubber Duck, we just ain't a gonna pay no dentist..."
ReplyDeleteIf this guy comes down to the US, maybe he'll be inspired by all those "vasectomy reversal" billboards along I-10.
Once I tried to do my own LP while driving. Now, that was friggin' hard.
ReplyDeleteThe weirdest things happen near my hometown...
ReplyDeleteI wonder what he used for anesthesia...
ReplyDeletewow... makes me embarrassed to admit I live in Canada...dumasses are everywhere
ReplyDeleteWurd up for the K-town! I love that town - the weirdest stuff happens there!
ReplyDeleteThe ticket will probably STILL be cheaper than a dentist bill!!
ReplyDeletePerhaps, he couldn't get an appointment; a result of socialized medicine?
ReplyDeleteAt least he didn't show up at some ER wanting pain pills. A man who knows how to take care of business, we need more of those.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised it worked. I've found the 402 to be one of the smoothest roads in Ontario.
ReplyDeleteWell... that's just embarassing. Nothing like reading about something going on in your own neighbourhood from this blog!
ReplyDeleteOh he must have been in serious pain to do that. I had a tooth that needed to be pulled, but my dentist wouldn't do it before my trip to France. He gave me a bunch of pain pills so I would be OK until I returned. But it got very painful despite the pills, so I spent an entire day wandering around Vaison la Romaine looking for a dentist because pulling the tooth seemed like it would be less painful than feeling it. I didn't get to the point where I went looking for a wrench, but I can see how someone would. Teeth can hurt!
