Leave me out of it

A young couple were in today.

Dr. Grumpy: "Any other issues you wanted to discuss?"

Mrs. Young: "No, I think you covered it."

Mr. Young: "Yeah. If we were to die, who do you think should raise our kids? My sister or hers?"

Mrs. Young: "Why the HELL are you asking him?! He doesn't know either of them!"

Mr. Young: "He's a doctor, so he knows about this kind of stuff."

Dr. Grumpy: "No, sir, I really don't..."

Mrs. Young: "Let's go. You're an idiot." (drags Mr. Young out).

  1. Better yet, maybe you, Dr. Grumpy, could take the kids in question! There's a thought.

    LOL!

  2. Hey, while you're at it, got any good financial advice? What stocks should I invest in?

Oh, one more thing. What church should I attend? After all, you're a doctor and therefore, know everything.

    Snort.

  3. I am going out on a limb and think that this is not an issue that is
due to any condition they may or may not have? Men sometimes astound me with their thoughts on this subject. My husband after we were nearly married would wake me up because he thought I stopped breathing! I didn't, I just did not snore! Then after our first child was born he
did not want to hold him because he was afraid he would die. Well, I am
still here and our 28 yr old son is too. This kind of thinking seemed to be a trend amongst the men we knew. It did bring a laugh and eye roll so thank you!

  4. If we were to die...

I'm sorry sir, but that should be when you die, not if you die...

  8. He should try asking Dr. Laura for kicks. She'd probably be worse than the wife.

  9. That couple is obviously in need of some sort of objective third-party mediator on the issue. Perhaps you could refer them to Dr. Phil. Or maybe Dr. Magic8Ball, I heard he's easy to get into.

  12. Well, at least one member of the couple (the wife) wasn't a complete idiot. There may be hope for them yet...

  13. I am a lawyer and I get asked that question all the time. My response is always the same, choose the one with the least offensive substance abuse problem. Gives them something to reflect upon.
