The hip bone's connected to the...

Mrs. Anatomy: "The pain goes down the front of my thigh to the clavicle."

Dr. Grumpy: "Clavicle?"

Mrs. Anatomy: "Yeah, the clavicle, in the front of your knee."

Dr. Grumpy: "You mean knee cap? Patella?"

Mrs. Anatomy: "Yeah, there too."

  2. You should have thrown in the astragalus for shits and giggles.

On another note, what percentage of your migraineurs take Topamax? Any idiosyncrasies common among them?

  3. Probably it was a newly qualified brit physician who has done one on the new abbreviated medical courses. He may know only minimal anatomy, but he will know all about managing bereavement and the square root of damn all about the management of the causes of bereavement.

  6. Oh my my... reading this post is better than swallowing a dozen happy pills. Thank goodness I wasn't drinking anything whilst I read! I needed a giggle; What a thrill.
Now...ma-nig-a-ment...wonder if the "new abbreviated medical courses" previously mentioned covers ma-nig-a-ments?? *reaches for textbook*

  7. I once had a client tell me her horse had a laceration above the shoulder but below the elbow. At least it turned out to be a front leg.

  8. Dr Grumpy, reading your blog is the best medicine for my stressful days.

Constance-my daughter takes Topamax to prevent her migraines and she cannot drink anything carbonated-it makes the drinks taste terrible. Imagine-a teenager that doesn't drink soda.

Word verification is pugendos...did one of your patients come up with that yet? You know, as in "my pugendos are horribly inflamed!"
