I asked the vet about them at her next visit--they were fat pads, and she had to go on a diet.

But, unfortunately, that was not the end of the story. Those little fat pads and previous diet had set her up for diabetes. There was a lot of stress in the house, disrupted sleep at night, and I'd not noticed she was going blind until going in the door of the house after an evening walk, she seemed to be exhibiting a strange behavior in 'chasing and jumping' toward something near the front door. After noting the cataracts, I realized she had been looking for the door entrance which she'd previously been able to see.

I took her to the vet early for her yearly shots, and but the diabetes was diagnosed only after excessive drinking.

Overfeeding inadvertently, fat lumps, stress and poor sleep, etc. blindness and diabetes, all hand in hand.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5883634615775822475.post-46028176970597468072011-04-24T10:19:28.006-04:002011-04-24T10:19:28.006-04:00Yeah, but does it hurt behind his eyes when he pee...Yeah, but does it hurt behind his eyes when he pees? The Motherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15157821003454766570noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5883634615775822475.post-86686716887373292622011-04-23T18:23:40.323-04:002011-04-23T18:23:40.323-04:00Tumour is latin for swelling so technically, he is...Tumour is latin for swelling so technically, he is correct, those bony lumps are tumours.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5883634615775822475.post-77584952104299025302011-04-23T17:26:48.813-04:002011-04-23T17:26:48.813-04:00Don't forget...this man also drives a car and ...Don't forget...this man also drives a car and votes for our nation's leaders.

Sobering thought!GB, RNhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09735213378851473207noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5883634615775822475.post-72069693199000150312011-04-23T15:03:54.035-04:002011-04-23T15:03:54.035-04:00Technically he's right.
