Heck, giving her a phone that can have pictures of people to help her dial might be a good idea. It might just be a very expensive paperweight/bingo app player, but its safer than giving her a toaster to play with. Would never occur to me to ask a neurologist to teach a patient how to use their phone though.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5883634615775822475.post-83840167928812809312011-09-28T11:38:36.644-04:002011-09-28T11:38:36.644-04:00Just goes to show the variation in your patient po...Just goes to show the variation in your patient population. MIL is 87, M is 91, both in decline, but I see the children rallying to put themselves out so each can (to this point) live in their own home. Which means lawn, laundry, shopping, visits, cleaning, bathing , transporting. Time is fleeting, letting go is difficult.<br />Grasping at straws is harmless, unless there was a lousy plan.Packerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10790343423937405624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5883634615775822475.post-81117324470273038422011-09-28T09:11:48.478-04:002011-09-28T09:11:48.478-04:00my mom DOESN'T have alzheimers...she's jus...my mom DOESN'T have alzheimers...she's just a terrible luddite...and can't work an ipod much less an iphone :-pAlpine, R.N.https://www.blogger.com/profile/02560998014555307666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5883634615775822475.post-8132836879968828122011-09-28T09:08:35.369-04:002011-09-28T09:08:35.369-04:00No he bought it a month ago and brought her in to ...No he bought it a month ago and brought her in to see if I could help explain it to her.
